This is my second trip to New York. Last trip was in 2003 but at that time I got only 1 day to explore NYC. This time, I got few days to stroll around. It was two fold visit; I was to meet the management team of the Big Apple Circus Clown Care Unit on the Merdeka Day and getting all my clown supplies and props. In fact visiting those tourist spots became secondary as I was busy searching for toy shops in NYC looking for puppets, toys etc.
I stayed at Jane Nichols's apartment at the Upper East Side. Central Park is just one block away. She was away most of the time teaching clowning and acting classes at Yale and New Haven so I got her apartment by myself. She bought it few years ago and lives alone as her children mostly lives in Seattle and Connecticut.
With my USD24 weekly Metrocard I travel around NYC by Subway most of the time. Visited Brooklyn Bridge, took ferry to Staten Island and enjoying the view of the Liberty during sunset,Ground Zero, Times Square etc.
